I have a PC with two HD's, drive A and drive B. Windows XP Pro is installed
on drive A, nothing on drive B.
I recently installed Windows 7 beta on drive B and it worked quite well.
However when I attempted to boot into XP on drive A I kept getting an NTLDR
boot error. I finally decided to do a clean install of XP. Much to my
surprise I had the same NTLDR problem.
After much frustration, I disconnected drive B and did another clean install
of XP on drive A. Success.
I would like to get Windows 7 on the second drive but I afraid I will run
into the same problem. What if I first disconnect drive A before installing
Windows 7 on drive B, would everything when I re-connected drive A back? I
really do not want to do another install of XP!!
Suggestions appreciated.
