Dual boot menu does not appear

Hello,

I haev successfully created a dual-boot with XP & 2000.
At one point the menu choices appeared so that I can
choose which OS to boot to, (I set the time for 20
seconds). As of yesterday, the menu no longer appears,
it's just a black screen. The monitor light is on, so I
know I'm getting a signal from the video card. After
about 20 seconds, my default OS choice, XP, starts up.
Now I've restarted and when I "thought" the menu was
there, I would arrow down to 2000 and press <Enter> and
it would boot to 2000.

This is quite a strange problem, anyone have any ideas?
I've done the following:
- Virus scan
- Defrag, Speeddisk, Scandisk, Clean Sweep (Norton
product)
- changed the time in which the menu stays viewable
- rearranged the boot order

Thanks

The boot.ini is fine, as both OS' load fine, it's just I
can't see the menu to select which OS I want.

Thanks
