Hi,
i've a problem about a dual boot system with the same NOS,
so i've installed win Y2K in a logical drive mirrored by
a
raid card in partition 0,after this i've installed in a
second partition the same NOS,at the reboot the machine
show the NOS choise as well as.
I've made a recovery test,so i've used FDISK on boot and
i've marked active only the second partition and at the
reboot the machine show:blush:perative system not found...
Could you tell me why???

Both your installations keep some vital boot files on the first active
primary partition of your first hard disk (usually called C:). Those files
are boot.ini, ntdetect.com, ntldr and possibly ntbootdd.sys (if used at
all).

In order to keep totally independable installations you need to use third
party boot managers. This also usually means that you cannot access the
partition where the currently not running operating system resides.

Best regards

Bjorn
