dropdown menu flashing on and off when srolling thru

Hi there, I have created drop down menu using layers as per instructions
posted by Ravi on 7/27/05

The instructions work beautifully, however there is one thing I need further
help with... As I scroll down thru the submenu it disappears for the split
second that it takes to get to the next line of text/interactive button. The
effect is that the menu flashes on and off as I scroll thru.

Please give a link to the page.
The problem is probably caused by placing the ommouseout event on the
layer, rather than some other element. If it's on the layer, when you
move over an Interactive button you move out of the layer and back
into it again - thus causing the flash.

As you suggested, getting rid of onmouseout stops the flashing. However, I
can't work out any other way of getting the submenu to dissapear. I tried
putting another layer around the submenu (as described in link you provided)
so that submenu would become invisible when scrolled over, but couldnt get it
to work.

Thanks folks,
have got it working now:

Removed the onmouseout behaviour and replaced with a background layer that
surrounds submenu, as described in "Reset All Menu Leafs" section of
http://www.interlacken.com/winnt/tips/tipshow.aspx?tip=28
