Drop Down Sort Button.

A friend put together a worksheet for me. At the top of each column is
a button that allows me to sort, ascending, descending, custom, and by
each entry in the column. I need to add three more columns with this
sort button, but do not know how to do it. What is this drop down
called, and how do I create one on my new columns?

Is that button a dropdown arrow?

If yes, then Autofilter (Data|Autofilter) in xl2003 menus has this feature (in
xl2003 and newer).

Note on Dave's response.

If the buttons are Data>Autofilter dropdowns, you can sort ascending or
descending but Custom and each entry are for filtering only, not sorting.
