Drop Down Properties

Hi Guys

I am having trouble getting my queries to accept drop down menus for the
users to search for what they want to enter in the parameter searchs.

In my tables there are drop down menus already created, but when I go into
the properties of my query and select combo box, value list and type in the
list of values I want the query to hold, the query just ignores this and gos
to the manual inputting dilouge box instead of a dialouge with a drop down
menu.

Any help on how I can get around this problem?

My preference is to never use lookup fields
http://www.mvps.org/access/lookupfields.htm and never use parameter prompts
in queries.

Always allow users to enter criteria values into controls on forms.
