drop down menu hangs ie6 and ie7

this problem has started recently. I have a website that has drop down menus.
some work, some don't. The site is
http://sizeyourride.com/eclipsewheels

the application guide drop downs work no problem but the drop downs on the
wheel showcase are very slow. I have tried in firefox and no problems,
actually it works faster than before in firefox. Is there a setting that
causes i.e. to hang drop downs.
I am xp pro sp3, but it does the same thing on xp home.

This is the only problem i have ever had with drop downs but since it works
with firefox I assume i.e. has a problem.
