Drop Down Field has a frame I don't want

I accidentally clicked on "insert frame" when I went to insert a "drop down
form field". Now there is a border around the form field. How do I remove
this? I have tried opening a brand new document and starting over. The
border will not go away. Please help!

if you accidently added text there, copy the text, then click on it and hit
delete

I didn't add text. When open a new doc and click on "insert drop down form
field" I automatically get a box.

If clicking on the frame doesn't delete it, try opening your frames toolbar
and select delete frame

I tried that too. No luck. It's just a light grey little border right
arount the field. Maybe there's no way to remove it?

Right click the frame > format frame > remove frame
