Drivers for XP 64bit to use Canoscan 3200f

M

me

I have a Canon Canoscan 3200f which is only about 18months old and but
I cannot use it as Canon have not produced the drivers for Windows XP
Professional 64 bit operating system. A bit disgraceful, I feel and
I'll not be buying another Canon product.

Is there any software that would allow me to use it, other than
setting up a dual boot or using vmware, which seem over the top just
for this purpose.

My thanks to anyone who is kind enough to reply.

Hi.

Canon are not being especially bad. This sort of non-activity is
commonplace.

You really need to check that all your accessories will still work, before
you upgrade your machine, or install a new OS.

If the scanner is still current, then they may produce drivers, when enough
people have switched to Xp 64.

If you install the regular Windows XP Professional (32 bit) OS, you won't
have that problem.
Windows Pro 32 bit will work just fine on 64 bit processors.

And yes, you can do it as dual boot.
