Drive healthy at risk problem

M

Mike

I recently installed a new 2nd hard drive and split it
into 2 partitions D: & E: Everything seems to be working
fine and the install went without hitch. A week or so
later I noticed in my disk management tool that the drive
said Healthy (At risk) on the 1st partition. I have now
just noticed the 2nd partition a week os so later again
also has Healthy at risk label. I have sacnned the drives
and told windows to fix errors but this doent get rid of
it.

This new drive is not the system drive it is only used
for storage and backup purposes.

Apart from it being there I have not had any problems
everything works fine but I am worried about data loss.
Can anyone shed any ligh on this.

Thanks in advance for any help given

Hi Mike,

Download and run a set of drive diagnostic tools from the web site of the
drive manufacturer. These should tell you the state of the drive. Be
cautious, some of the tests will erase data on the drive.
