Drag & Drop not working in Word 2007

I just noticed that drag & drop is not working on my Vista 64 bit with Word
2007. I've tried several documents including a new document. I highlight the
text, then left-click and drag to the desired location, as soon as I start to
drag I see a circle with a line through it. I can drag & drop in my other
office applications. Also in word I can cut and paste without issue.

Hi, if you click on the Office Button, then click on Word Options, click on
Advanced, and look in the “Editing options†section, is the box for “Allow
text to be dragged and dropped†checked? If it’s not, check it. That might
solve the problem.

Are any dialog boxes open, such as Insert Cross Reference? Several of
those keep D'n'D from working.
