Drafts in MS Outlook

Hi,

I generally want to use some scribble pad kind of thing and also want to
index them for easy access at a later point. I ended up using the Drafts
option in MS Outlook where I just open up a new mail message and type out my
observations/logs or watever give a subject and save it. So at any later
point, I can go to the drafts, scroll through the drafts and pick whichever I
want.

So, in a nutshell, what I want is a place where I can have a collection of
textfiles with a description for each of it and I should be easily traverse
through them. I dont want to save a .txt file everytime and search based on
file name.

Hi Ben,

Thanks for the reply... I have no restriction to use Outlook but that is the
only place I found much suiting my requirement and I am looking for some
exclusive piece of light-weight application for this purpose alone. I was not
aware of OneNote, maybe I can give it a try...

Hi Ben,

Yep... I am infact using the Notes also but for small scale hints... like DL
no., Account no., etc....

But my requirement here is like I want scribble pads like notepads only but
using notepad/wordpad I need to save them as individual files and accessing
them is not as easy as accessing them from the drafts section of Outlook.

Also, the main issue I have with using this drafts is that, Outlook is
relatively a huge application, and to see my scribble points, I dont want to
open my Outlook, which sometimes hogs my cpu.... Hence I was looking for some
light weight appl.
