Draft Box and Lost tool bar

B

Brummie

I have some emails going into the draft box without permission. They then
cannot be deleted.

Also I have lost my tool bar in the In box and when I open an email the tool
box has disappeared from there also. Create Email, cut, paste, delete, send,
abc spell check etc. They have all disappeared.
Can anybody help me?

For the undeletable messages, download and install this hotfix, with
Windows Mail not running:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/941090

Although it's labelled as for mail stuck in the Outbox, it also works
in other folders. If you don't know whether you have a 32-bit verion
of Vista or a 64-bit version, try the 32-bit version of the hotfix first.
Some people have had trouble downloading it lately; if you do, ask
where to try instead. Certain common antivirus programs, such as
most of those from Norton of McAfee, tend to cause various problems
in Windows Mail, such as undeletable messages, although seldom
immediately, so if you have such a program, remember where to find
the hotfix and hope it will install again if you need it again. A recent
version of the Trend antivirus program also causes assorted problems
in Windows Mail.

For the missing toolbar, click on View, then Layout, then guess the
name of what you want and click on the box before it if there's no
check mark there. Click on Apply, then OK. If you can't see the
bar with Tools on it, pressing the Alt key often helps.
