Dr. Watson

Jordan

This has nothing to do with MSAS really, but I have the Dr.
Watson virus thing (where it constantly downloads spyware
etc or whatever it does). Does anybody know how I can
remove this? I ask because MSAS and all help sites say that
having service pack 2 is good for computer safety. I have
tried re-installing SP2 from a disk from Microsoft but it
still resulted in the error. Can anyone offer any help?

Anti-Virus (choose 1 only. It is not recommended to use
more than 1 AV real-time proctection):

AVG http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/avg7.htm

Avast
http://nl.trendmicro-
europe.com/consumer/housecall/housecall_launch.php After
the scan, check the tab for hackercheck.

Anti-Trojan scanner (Not all antivirus can detect malware!
Use any or both):

a-squared http://www.emsisoft.com/en/software/free/
ewido security suite http://www.ewido.net/en/ Free

Anti-script (Not all antivirus can defend from malicious
scripts! Install one only):

Good luck

The Dr Watson debugger is a standard part of Windows and has been around a
good long time. It is responsible for the crash reports that you may have
the opportunity to send on to Microsoft after an application crash, among
other things.

Please do send these reports, particularly if they relate to Microsoft
Antispyware. This is instant feedback to the developers about how the code
is working in the real world, and they do use the information.

gives more information than you might want, I suspect!
