downsize photo attachment

When attaching a photo within an email on Windows Mail, how do I get it to
appear smaller? It is coming from my regular "Pictures" file and is to big
to see withoug panning all the way to the side and up and down. With
Outlook Express it was always the right size for the email. Also, why does
the Spell Check (ABC) not work on these emails? Something about 'this
language is no longer available for spell checking' what are the other
'spelling options dialog??'
Thanks!

Hi LA,

The resize dialog should appear when sending pictures to mail. What's the file type involved, and how are you attaching the image?

For the spell check problem, try this:

Start Windows Mail
Click the Tools menu and choose Options...
Click the Spelling tab
From the Language drop-down, select English (default choice)
Click OK

Error "This language is no longer available for spell checking" when using the Spell Checker in Windows Mail:

Hi Ramesh,

I saw your other suggestion about this and went to Windows Photo Gallery to
try it. I highlighted the pic, click on email, and it offered a chance to
downsize so I tried it. When I sent a photo to myself it worked but came as
an attachment when I sent it to my other email address on att yahoo. My
main reason to use Windows Mail (I had Outlook Express until last week and
was able to do this) was to be able to have a photo appear to all I sent it
to in the body of the email and not have to make them download it. It's to
much work, people like to just see the photo when they open the email. If I
clicked on the attach photo symbol within the compose email form it would
also do it but only send a photo that was to large.

Thanks for the spell check correction it info, it worked! Now another thing
I have found is that I can't export my address book over to windows mail
from my att/yahoo account as they can't work with Vista. When I try to
"send current web link" it always chooses the Windows email form and I want
it to go to the att/yahoo/sbc side. I set it up to that I am supposed to be
able to use both Windows Mail and ATT/Yahoo. Also, is there a way to hear a
sound when I get an email? Now that won't work with Vista on my SBC. I'm
having a hard time with these things that I really miss.

Thanks,
LA
