downloading messages

I have just set up a windows mail account in my pc. However, it only
downloads mails that I have not read on some other computer (i.e.) unread
emails. How do i download all the mails? I am using gmail.

If you did not mark all the other emails as Leave on Server then they will obviously
not download since you have had them open

Gmail does not use standard POP3 protocol in that regard. It requires a
special setting, see
