Currently all my downloaded files or Outlook 2002 email attachments are automatically saved
as 'green' encrypted files, regardless of where I choose to store the files.
I currently have to manually unencrypt them to remove the 'green' display from Windows
Explorer.
I do not wish to have any encryption on my home desktop system as I am the only user.
I enabled Windows XP SP1 file encryption for several folders/subfolders on my home desktop
computer to see how EFS encryption works two weeks ago.
The folders/subfolders were My Documents, my default temp folders, my default Outlook PST
folder and my default Temporary Internet Files.
I then disabled encryption for all the above folders/subfolders, however since then all
newly downloaded files continue to be saved as encrypted 'green' files. Which folder did I
miss when undoing EFS or is there a registry tweak needed to get back to no encryption as
before?
Thanks ... RR
