My pc has only XP installed.
Tried to download SP2 and run it but got file corrupted error. Then
everytime I downloaded exe from internet got the same file corrup error. It
happens to many different website, so I think that related to XP.
Recently I downloaded Acrobat Reader 2 times and got the same error:

Adobe has detected a corrupt file (checksum error). The program has been
closed without installing.

Please send the Info ID to http://www.adobe.com/misc/bugreport.html

I would think my XP has a serious problem.

What motherboard chipset drivers are installed?
Do you perhaps have Nvidea with Active Armor?
Have you updated any drivers via winupdate? - if so very bad move!

When downloading are you multitasking at the same time. Did you try to download with your AV disabled. Are you using Norton or MCaffe ??

What method are you using to download? Is it with a download manager by
any chance?
