Download Meter?

I use newspro and News Rover. I can read what dowlnload speed I get on the
first but not on NRover.

Is there any meter type thingy one can get without adware to read the DL speed.

If you are online you could try
<http://www.google.com/groups?&as_ugroup=alt.comp.freeware>
and enter METER as your search word, select "Search only in
alt.comp.freeware" and click the search button to go.
On the results page click the "sort by date" link out on the right
hand side.

My favorite at the moment is NetMeter. It's a small, 1 file executable, and
has some very nice features and effects.

i've been using the liter version for longer than a month with no problems.
cool prog, just a bit resource-hungry.

I am currently trialing DU Meter for 30 days but aint as impressed as many seem
to be.This one you suggested I will load up after a few more days

I've downloaded that via 'Google' search and have to say it looks very
interesting as the Beta is about to be released. Beginning April from what I
could tell. I tried your link page and couldn't find it!!!!

The page <http://readerror.gmxhome.de/> says beta relased on 02/04/04.
I doubt he is dating his release ahead of time, but rather that the
date reads MM.DD.YY., in other words February 04 2004. See the date
below the one you read, 06/27/03.
