D

dee

Please tell me how I can get the download of Canada Holidays to show on my
calendar. I have been told three times now that they are dowloaded but...
Thank you.

D

dee

So sorry, it is Microsoft Office Outlook 2007. I had downloaded the holidays
for Canada the first time I installed, however I had remove it due to
problems with my computer. After reinstallation it will not work.
Thank you for your patience.

Switch to a table view (like By Category) and import them again, using tools, options, calendar options, add holidays. Do you see them?

WEll I guess it is time to take a pill... I switched to 'annual events' .
Guess I don't understand 'table' view. However I was told the holidays have
already been installed (for the fourth time) The first time I installed them
successfully I did not have a problem and the monthly calendar was in use.
One more time please and then I will use an paper calendar.

ignore the warning and reinstall it. If you installed the holidays in an
older version you'll need to add them again to get the ones for 2007-2012.

Diane, I guess I have not made myself clear. On this computer I have only
ever installed Microsoft Office 2007. I do ignore the warning and am told
they have been installed successfully but am now up to having tried 7 or 8
times. I would imagine that they are somewhere and therefore registering as
installed. I probably have to find where and remove them, which is far
beyond my abilities.
Somewhere, somehow something is not right. I can save the calender
information I have up to now and try to uninstall and reinstall the Microsoft
Office, . Will give it a try anyway.
I don't think it is something I wish to format my pc over.

Thank you for your assistance.

I have one calendar folder, did have others but removed them before. Each
time I fooled around I ended up with another calendar but now only have one.

Will uninstalling and reinstalling the Windows Office help me?
If I use other categories there is still no holidays showing, they are
going somewhere off in space. :)
Thanks again for your patience.

No, uninstalling is unlikely to help. I'm not sure what's wrong - Outlook
shouldn’t be creating new calendars when you import.

Try making a new profile (keep the old one) - you can use a no mail profile
(cancel the add acct wizard) and try importing the calendar. Does it work?

At LONG LAST.... Without realizing it I had the main calendar and my
personal calendar.(Dolores Calendar) It seems the holidays download only to
the main calendar which I wasn't using.
Many thanks for your help. Your last instructions sent me on a path to
discover what was going on. I ended up removing all the duplicates manually
rather get more confused. I know updated products are to improve things
but for the little old ladies it make life much more complicate. LOL
Thanks again.
