Double clicking folders doesn't open it.

Okay so every time I double click to open a folder, instead of th
folder just opening up I get a "Search Results" window. So instead o
double clicking I have to right click and the "Open" option is almos
all the way at the bottom. In my whole experience working wit
computers I have never seen this. is there somthing under tools an
setting or something to where I can change it? Any advice or help woul
be great. Thanks
