Dos Program Opens and Immediately Closed by WIndows

I have a DOS program that we have been using for years and I am
assuming that some windows update has rendered it useless. Now when
you open it, it opens then immediately closes. I tried changing
compatiblity mode to 95 and didnt' work and even tried running from cmd
and command and same result. Any Ideas? Thanks

Instead of going to: Start>Run>type CMD>OK
Go to: Start>All Programs>Accessories>click Command Prompt

Yes..when 16 bit support was finally ditched with the long overdue
death of Win9x
Now when
you open it, it opens then immediately closes. I tried changing

Download and install DOSBox.

"when i open my buisness files they are closed and i receive a message

System type? Application used? Memory? OS version? Service Pack? Error
logs?

And how can this be a reply?
