Dont open new window when replying

Hi all,

Does anybody know how to make outlook NOT open a new window when replying?

For example, I click on my message in the inbox, and a window opens so that I can read it. I then hit reply, and ANOTHER window opens that I can edit and reply. When I then close this, the original window is still open.

I'd quite like it so that when I hit reply, the current window becomes editable, and when its sent, the message is no longer open in any window.
