In outlook when you close an email, you can click on the "X" button in the
upper right hand corner of the application bar (the bar at the top of all
Windows applications) and the email will close and still be saved wherever it
was (inbox, etc.). However when you push that button on the main Outlook
window, it closes the application.
Sometimes when I am quickly closing email messages, I inadvertently push the
X for the Entire Outlook program. Well this starts a long process that I
didn't want to go into: saving messages I haven't finished, saving the .pst
files, determining if I want changes saved to attachments, etc. Some software
programs, when you close them, they ask "Are you sure you want to exit?" I
think Outlook should have this extra step when you push the "X" button to
make sure that's what the user intended.
