For a non expiring licence from donation coder you have to request a
licence THREE TIMES. Do you have to do that with Avast anti-virus ?

You have to request it from Avast once a year, I believe. Some people even
object strongly to being forced to fill out the Avast form in the first
place (I have never received an advertisement from Avast).

Sorry, I just don't see renewing the key every six months as being much of a
burden,considering I'm getting the product of hundreds of hours of a
programmer's time (creation, testing, documentation, maintenance, support).
