Domain is still there (Domain Controller has already removed)

Help.
I have a domain controller before, but I have already removed it (Using
Dcpromo) and also that server has been removed from the LAN. However, when I
browse the network, the domain is still there. But there is no more user
login in that Domain. When I click in the domain, it said "Apextrimmings is
not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource.
Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access
permission."

Is there anyone knows how can I do?

Wilson,

Have you considered doing a Metadata Cleanup? Here is an MSKB Article to
assist you:

Did I understand your post correctly? You have removed a Domain Controller
via the dcpromo process yet it still shows up and other Domain Controllers
are still trying to replicate with it?

It is the only domain controller on the network and this is the only windows
2000 / 2003 server in the network. Therefore, I do not think it replicated
with other server.

Every workstation is in workgroup now. However, I can still see <Workgroup>
and <Apextrimmings>, these two name when I browse from Windows Explorer.
