Does Windows Search 4.0 index Outlook Express content ?

Hello, I've just installed WS 4.0 in XP SP3, and I'm using the built-in
Email client, Outlook Express. (which uses .dbx files)

WS 4.0 is unable to fnd any content in email subject line, or body.
Is it supposed to work? Anything special to setting it up?
When I look in Indexed locations, Outlook Express main identity is
listed.

Any insights appreciated.

No, that resource hogs is only for the OS folder searches, it will not help
you with database files.

A suggestion, go on line, open OE, click the Search 4.0 icon in your task
bar, click index now, it will take several minutes, if it works.

Williamtell, you are correct. It seems OE has to be open for WS to
index it. Why that should be, or why it's not mentioned
anywhere in the WS 4.0 help, is a mystery.
