Does VS2003 .NET need to be updated for cf.NET sp1?

If I download cf.net sp1 and install it on my devices do I need to update
visual studio at all?
Does it need any of the updates to build?
Is there a way to update VS so that it deploys the cf.net sp1 when I deploy
and debug a new app?

No, VS.NET does not need to be updated. If you want to deploy the SP from
VS.NET while debugging an app you can put the SP2 .NET CF cab files in the
corresponding processor specific directories under directory: C:\Program
Files\Microsoft Visual Studio .NET
2003\CompactFrameworkSDK\v1.0.5000\Windows CE\wce300 and C:\Program
Files\Microsoft Visual Studio .NET
2003\CompactFrameworkSDK\v1.0.5000\Windows CE\wce400 (assuming a default
installation path of Visual Studio.NET).
