Does Sysprep work?

G

Guest

My employer is buying 40 new, identically configured desktop PCs from Dell. They will all come with lisenced XP Pro. I plan to make a Ghost image to clone onto them to 1) get rid of all the extraneous software that comes installed and 2) install all the extraneous software my company needs.

With Win 2k Pro I did this using Sysprep. Does Sysprep work the same (or at all) in XP Pro? If not, could someone please let me know what the preferred method is these days

Thanks for any help

Contact Dell and specify Volume Licensing in lieu of OEM licenses
and sysprep will be easy to perform and implement.

Sysprep works great in XP using volume licensing. It wouldn't be quite as
easy if you needed to plug the individual numbers back onto each pc. The
newest version of Sysprep is very easy to use.
