Does LAVASOFT ADWARE adversely affect OUTLOOK email?

I have blissfully used DIRECWAY satellite for my internet connection for 6
months. OUTLOOK works seamlessly with it. Email has never been a problem
until four days ago when, coincidentally?, I downloaded and used LAVASOFT
ADWARE. I quarrentined many items,(76). The next time I tried to use email it
did not work through the OUTLOOK EMAIL website. No sending or receiving. It
tries but an error was occuring. I replaced all the quarrentined items to the
hard drive, uninstalled my OFFICE 2003 program and reinstalled it with the
original disc. Then updated all via the OFFICE UPDATE website. I have checked
all the settings and they are correct. The pop 3 ID is correct as is the smtp
ID. OUTLOOK is the primary email. I can get mail directly through the
DIRECWAY connection and through the hotmail website but can no longer get
email in or out through the OUTLOOK website. I use Norton antivirus and
firewall. I have manually updated and run this tool. I have disabled the
firewall, but no help. It is enabled now.

What Outlook email website? Are you using Outlook Web Access to access a
mailbox on an Exchange server? If so, this isn't Outlook - OWA is part of
Exchange.

Still not sure what you mean. Are you using OWA, or are you checking a POP
account in Outlook 2003?

Also - what version of AdAware? Always make sure you're using the latest
version - www.lavasoftusa.com has it. And update before scanning. Same with
Spybot. If you're having problems connecting to the Internet/network at all
on this computer, it is likely due to spyware having put 'hooks' into your
network stack and the removal botching it up. You can usually restore
functionality without recovering your quarantined items - see
http://www.cexx.org/lspfix.htm. It's good to have this handy.

What error?

There is no longer an error associated with the program. It just keeps
trying to download email. It instantly gets to 83% progress but gets stuck
there for as long as I leave it there. The longest time is 30 mins. It tells
me it has sent waiting messages but none have been sent. they are still in
the Outbox. ^ are thee but only one is in bold italic. The others are not
recognized.

Can you check your POP account at www.mail2web.com or your host's webmail to
see if anything is stuck/corrupt/too large in your mailbox?
