DOES IT EXIST?

I am looking for a USB compact portable storage device (a USB memory
stick) which can work in the following way:

1) The data will be insert and stocked in the device.

2) Once stocked, the data should be locked and made not
re-editable.

3) Beside the stocked and not re-editable data, it will still be
possible to insert new data.

In other words I need a USB memory stick which can host a protected
area, accessible but not modifiable, and which for the rest can work as
an ordinary USB compact portable storage device.

Have you visited the websites of the many companies that sell USB flash
drives?

Most USB flash drives, from the larger companies, can have the files protected
(locked) as read only. You need to specify the read only setting yourself.

However, be advised that you should not rely on the USB flash drive for your
only copy of the protected files. Flash drives are electronic devices which
can be affected by bad power, power spikes and static electricity.
