I am building a website using asp.net 2005 and vb. I have a folder on
another server than the web server which contains some pdf files that I
would like to list on a webpage with a hyperlink to display them. Do I need
to move them to the web server or can I display them on a website while
they are on a different server?

Linking a file on a different server must allow you to display the
file content on your website as long as source-server allows you as i
understand from your issue.
