Document Management

Hi Everyone,

I'm thinking of using access for my companies document management system.
After a bit of research i'm thinking of using OLE linked objects, to link to
the documents and hopfully the 'File Change Notify' addon from
mvps.org/access to track changes in these files to force new versions, etc.

Although i think this should work well, i'm not quite sure. Has anyone done
used access for 'active' document mangement? and would they have any tips,
suggestions or examples.

Thanks Brendan,

i have previously looked at Arvins doc management sytem, it is very clever
and i have learnt alot from it, but it doesn't deal with recording changes in
the files and locking them which i'm most interested in.
