I have an unusual issue in Outlook 2007.
I'm accustomed to updating contacts with new information by dragging the newer record from a sub-folder to the main Contacts folder.
Normally (as long as name/email address are the same) that gives me an update screen to approve, but lately this has stopped and Outlook just behaves as though "Do not import duplicates" is unchecked - that is, it adds the new record into the contacts folder, and I now have two near-duplicates.
It looked as though a new Profile might do the job, so I regenerated the Profile, no luck.
I'm out of ideas. I have run Install/Repair. The next step is a clean re-install.
Any ideas?
