dns servor errors

I have been having problems getting IE to connect to the
internet. the error msg. " Imternet explorer cannot find
the server, DNS error " so I have been using my alternate
browser
Netscape to connect to the Internet with no problems.
I have tried to reinstall IE 6.0 but the Installation will
not finish. It goes to about 87% then stops. I would
appreciate any help or suggestions on how to correct this
problem.
