Dns Server Address

Hi All,

My Lan connected computer's Dns address is as follow:-

DNS Servers . . . . . . . . . . . : 172.24.96.1

172.24.96.2

fec0:0:0:ffff::1%2

fec0:0:0:ffff::2%2

fec0:0:0:ffff::3%2

What is the meaning of the 3,4 & 5 nos.? How to get it in numeric?

If you mean the 'fec0:0:0:ffff::1%2' lines, these are are IP version six
addresses. They are an abbreviation of the actual numeric address.

Personally I think that IPv6 is an abomination, and a perfect example of the
syndrome, "Let's make things complicated. Why? Because we can!"

Very few people use it.

Thanks for the replies. I am connected to the net through Lan server. How to
know the Gateway ip address & Dns server address as it is blank in the
"Internet Protocol (Tcp/Ip)" properties. Tcpview software (Sysinternals)
shows the website ip address only.

Click Start > Run, type in: cmd and press Enter or click Ok.
At the prompt type the below and press Enter (**Note** Space = ^ , Do Not type the
^ ):

ipconfig ^ /all
