DNS reconfiguration?

Guest

I am helping a friend with a WIN2000 DS, that are giving a lot of problems
:-(
I think that it is DNS related problems, and would like to reconfigure the
DNS.
The guys that have installed the server, have installed it like it schould
have its own domain, but it has not and will not have..
Can anyone tell me how i get it reconfigured so it is a .local server and so
in can configure the forwarders?.

Sorry for the bad description, but i am not that familiar with the DNS
(Normaly it is joust working as it schould ;-)

Thanks on advance :)

Open the DNS snapin and delete the "." (dot) forward lookup zone that is
created by default. Refresh or close and reopen the DNS snapin and you will
be able to set up forwarders.
