DNS Issues? W2K clients disconnect periodically network

In the last few days I have been having major issues with
systems freezing and disconnecting from the network. I am
sometimes getting event ids 5719 and (dns cache) 11050
errors. I have changed the network card in one of my
domain controllers. All clients use dhcp with the dns
point to the primary domain controller. The primary DC
DNS points to itself with forwarders setup to the ISP DNS.
The secondary DC DNS points to itself with forwarders
setup to ISP DNS. I cant seem to nail down the issue.

Did you try netdiag /fix?
When you replaced the network card did you use the same IP address on the
new card?
Did you run the remove hardware wizard to remove the old card?

Win2k is kind of finicky when it comes to changing network cards the only
real safe way of doing it is to install the new card before removing the old
card from the system. If you take the card out and put in the new one in one
step even if it is the same model the system will keep the old card in the
registry and its settings. This can really throw things out of balance, run
the remove hardware wizard to remove all instances of the old NIC, Netdig
/fix, and check your bindings and binding order in Network and dial up
connections from the Advanced Menu, Advanced Settings.

I ran the netdiag /fix and ran the hardware wizard to
remove the disabled card.
