DNS Issue after upgrade from XP

I upgraded to Vista Ultimate from XP SP2, the upgrade went fine, but either
of my browsers can NOT resolve names via DNS. If I enter in enteries in the
hosts file, the browsers see this. nslookup, ping, tracert and programs like
AIM work fine (AIM logs in) I have tried everything and searched everywhere,
I have seen similar issues where people have disabled IPv6 and resolved the
problem, I tried this and it didn't do anything.

I don't have the ability to do a clean install at this point, and that is
another story, so I need to get this fixed. Please Help!!

Manually enter a DNS server address in the TCP/IP properties for the
Network adapter?

I have tried this, and switched to my ISP's DNS server from my SBS server,
same thing, As I said, DNS works fine from nslookup and other places, but not
from the browsers, IE or Firefox.

I really need an answer to this if anyone know how the browser interacts
with DNS lookups, I understand that svchost handles this, but not sure of the
entire process or how to troubleshoot it...

Thanks,

Chris
