DNS clients does not update automatically

My work has two AD -10.x.x.10 10.x.x.11 each of this DC
has DHCP. recently we been having some problem whenever
for example a workstation crashed and we put ghost image
on this machine, I don't have problem to log onto the
domain and got new IP and when I ping the ip address of
this machine it would ping no problem but when I ping with
NetBios name it reply no hostname. I noticed that from DNS
A record it still has old ip address associated with this
computer name, when I check reverse lookup zone I do see
computer name and new IP address. I already done from
command ipconfig /flushdns and /registerdns but that did
not update the A record. Can someone tell me why??/

Your zone is probably AD Integrated?

You may want to follow this article concerning the DNSUpdateProxyGroup

317590 - HOW TO Configure DNS Dynamic Update in Windows 2000 [DNS reg-dereg
and DNSUpdateProxy Group]:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;317590&Product=win2000#51

But keep in mind, when ghosting over a new machine, and it's trying to
update the zone for a record that DHCP believe it already is updated, it
will cause issues. Hopefully that DNSUpdateProxyGroup setting will help.
