Distribution list membership display

We recently moved from Outlook 2000/Exchange 5.5 to Outlook 2003/Exchange
2003. Our users are encountering a change in the way Outlook displays
members of a distribution list.

When we add "Global Address List" contacts to a distribution list it shows
the persons real name in the "Name" column and their e-mail address in the
"E-mail" column (of the distribution list). When we add people from the
"contacts" folder to a distribution list it shows the e-mail address in both
the "Name" and "E-mail Address" columns. We need to have their real name in
the "Name" column and not the e-mail address -- like we had in Outlook 2000.

Can anyone help?

Thanks,
Lance

Outlook 2003 gives users complete control over the display name for each
e-mail address on a contact. This display name is what appears in the Name
column of a distribution list. Depending on how you created the contact, the
display name may be the person's name, their e-mail address, or a
combination of the name and e-mail address.

The solution to the distribution list display, therefore, is to open each
contact that you want to use in the DL and set the display name to show just
the contact's name.
