Distribution List Function

I have Outlook 2007. When I go to File, New to create a distribution list,
the distribution list option is missing. Why? How do I add it? So I found
the icon in custom and dragged it to the toolbar. However, each time I used
the icon to create a distribution list, the members did not stay. What do
you think we are doing wrong?

Explain the steps you are using to create the DL. Is this in a shared mailbox? Reason i ask is that you used the term "we."

Okay, I figured out that we were trying to create distribution lists in the
'business contacts'. I was trying to help an office manger. Distribution
lists are creatable if we go to "my contacts". Can we hide business
contacts? My 2007 version does not have that? Any ideas. How did this get
there? Thank you.

Business contact manager? Are you using it? if not, you can uninstall
it/disable it.
