Distribution List and Outlook 2003

I am running an SBS2000 server (with Exchange 2000) and created two new
distribution lists/groups in my GAL. All users except the boss can see the
new DL when they click on 'To...' EXCEPT the boss. The only difference that
I can see id that the boss's computer (laptop) is running Office 2003, while
everyone else is on Office 2000/2002/XP.

Any ideas?

There shouldn't be any difference based on the version of Office. Is he set
up to access the Exchange mailbox directly (via MAPI)? Is he working on an
OST file that isn't set to sync the offline address book? Is Exchange
generating any errors about the offline address book?

I have somewhat of the same problem, suddenly most of the address lists
disappear during the day, and i have only "global adresss list" "contacts"
and "Outlook adress book" left.
After a restart of Outlook they are all back.....
(Running Outlook2003 and exchange server 5.5)
This is a true mystery to me.
