distributing spreadsheet revisions.

Given a 'master' (Excel) spreadsheet, which has been applied to several
(or many) data sets. Then, changes are made to the master. Is there a
way to apply those changes to the other, already-loaded spreadsheets,
without needing to re-enter all the data?

I've never seen a reliable way to do this.

There are so many things that could change--insertion/deletion of rows/columns,
sheet renaming, key fields changing--I would think it would be impossible as a
general rule.
