I appreciate the command but it's value is limited, and I'm not sure it gets
what the OP wanted.
I read the OP, Mazzaroc, to want his Product Key because he had either lost
it or someone gave him a pc with it, or perhaps he had been given a torrent
OS and needed a PK for activation.
Your command gives the first five/twenty-five (5/25) characters of a PK.
I'm not sure how that helps. It's partial with a "capital P." It does
confirm activation.
If the OP wants to see the full 25 character PK in XP, Vista, and Windows 7
which are the current MSFT OS's in play, then these will do that in a
second:
