Display problems...

Following a recent update from MS my colleague and I are experiencing trouble
with our CRT Iiyama displays. In my case when launching Windows Explorer or
Outlook my monitor will go completely blank then come back as if it's been
degaussed. My colleague's machine will simply crash when she tries to launch
WE and Outlook. Sometimes her monitor will have reverted to a very low
display resolution. Other times icons will disappear. We have updated the
drivers but nothing has changed. Any ideas?

May be losse cables, your company Hit by lightning, bad Video card, look in
the Event Viewer for any Error messages by doing this:
Open a run command and type in; eventvwr click [OK] and look under:
Application
Security
System
For any Erro message (X) double click it to get more info about the Error
and post back here.

Thanks nass. My colleague's pc had the following System Error noted in her
event viewer:

Error code 100000ea, parameter 1 81e0eb00, parameter2 8225da28, parameter3
f9c64cb4, parameter4 00000001
Listed as category 102

An error report previously sent to MS recieved a notice to update the
display driver, which was done as previously mentioned. Haven't tried the
graphics card yet but will give it a shot. Checked the cables first thing.
Perhaps lightning, but two other pc's unaffected.

Regards,
Mark

Hi,
Does this machine has been connected to the PGO domain then taken OFF and
reconnected back again?.
I will check if this machine is clean from Mlawares and viruses ASAP, Read
this:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/903251
Ans also this:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/894278

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/815438
There is a Tool by Ms to Verifies the Hot Fixes installed by the XP based
System called Qfecheck.exe if the above didn't help.
HTH.
Please let us know your findings.
