Mark:
I just finished one week of "hell" with our display problem.
Our system was new in April, 2003 - top of the line components running Win
XP Pro.
I was stuck 640 X 480 settings. Nothing I did solved the problem - new
drivers, re-installed drivers, safe mode, system restore etc. Finally, I
installed a new graphics video card and works great.
Guru told me the key is:
As you reboot the computer if you see a garbled display while booting it
is NOT a driver problem - it's the display card.
If during reboot everything looks great until you are on the Desktop -
it's a driver problem.
Good luck. Hope this helps.

Turned on computer this morning and the display is set at 600 X 800. Went
to Display setting and tried to change but the scroll bar only has 600 X 800
on it and the color is at 4 (bit). I have a Viewsonic VA720 LCD. Tried to
start up viewsonic wizard Cd but it won't start due to current monitor
depth. Please help!
