Display order of contacts

Dear NG,

since Vista I do not know any more how to display my contacts the right way.
This was last name first, then first name. Right now it shows first name
first. I can change the order how contacts are being assorted but still they
show first name first, then last name. Since I got quite a lot entries I
would like to change this for all contacts at once. But I cannot find any
settings for this purpose. Could someone help me out please!

In the Contacts folder?
Change the View to Details.
Right-click on the Name column heading, click on First Name, then click on
Last Name
Click on the Last Name heading to sort by that, or click on First Name
heading to sort by that.


Or in a Create Mail window?
Click on To:
Click on the Name column heading... it cycles thru 4 different sorts.

Hi Dave,

thanks for the tip with details view. I have never used that before and to
be honest, I do not like it. I used to have it set on list. But in this mode
it does not work as before :-( Well, I guess I will survive that.
