Display Issue cant change color of visited links

Using XP home, IE6, and can't change color of visited
links to a contrasting color. I go to Tools, Internet
Options, colors, and am able to choose a color. Close
out, and reboot. But, the default colors are still in
effect (which I can't see well, blue and a slightly
darker purplish color. I want RED!!!!) :<) Is this a
display issue with my video card, or is theresome other
setting in XP or IE6 I need to tweak??

Your index may be damaged, remove it. An other new one will be created.

Delete/Empty Temporary Internet Cache completely

Thanks Henry- that seemed to do the trick. (BTW I found an earlier post of yours with the same advice and I was just following through on it when you posted to my thread. Again, Thanks!)
