Diskeeper crashing my computer (Bad Image Checksum message) on Boot time defrag

Mike O'sullivan

When I run Diskeeper 7 Boot-time defrag, it appears to run ok, but at the
end, when restarting the pc, it hangs, with a blue screen and the message
STOP C0000221 - Bad Image Checksum in Ntvdm.exe. This has happened twice.
The first time the corrupt file was different (User32.dll I think). Why is
this happening. Both Diskeeper and Windows 200 were reinstalled after the
first occasion, and I thought it might have been a coincidence that I was
running Diskeeper at the time, but apparently not. BTW the normal Diskeeper
defrag works fine, but not boot-time.

grateful for any advice.

Mike,

What build of Diskeeper V7 are you running? If you are NOT at the latest
Build (Build 430), then Executive Software STRONGLY encourages to you update
to build (430). From the Executive Software web site:

"Build 430 includes changes and improvements to the boot-time
defragmentation operations to address an issue that could possibly cause the
boot-time process to fail."

Please contact Executive Software for any questions/assistance.
